Jacks_Futile Ballot

It really strikes me as odd to say that I am not going to vote this year. I understand the importance of voting, I have always been for involvement in government. I believe it is every citizen's duty to help shape their government. However, I am going to be a hypocrite, at least this year.

It all really boils down to the fact that I am too lazy to request an absentee ballot. Or things are too busy. Or both. Working 7 days a week has really turned my desk/house/life into a mess. The other conflict that has been brewing in my head is that I really don't know who to vote for. Thanks to the crappy party system, only 2 candidates stand a chance. And I think both of them are crazy. One of them wants to change the country to being socialist and the other just wants power. So what am I to do? I picked my candidate months ago but he did not get too far at all. My voice in this country has been silenced. The whole election process is no longer about candidate's strengths. Its more of a race between writers, propaganda and money. I really don't want to be a part of something like that. However, the freedoms of the constitution still keep me safe enough. I am looking at international property but not buying tickets yet.
